Reflecting on my learning over the duration of EAB023 has allowed me to see the extent of my progression throughout the unit. My learning has been extensive due to the implementation of the hands-on learning experiences in the tutorial classes, and from readings that have added to my knowledge. Each of the mathematics concepts I have engaged in taught me so much surrounding early childhood mathematics, and I have learnt many ways to implement mathematics into upper primary classes also. Even though I have learnt so much over the duration of the unit, one aspect I will especially take with me is keeping up-to-date with resources. The importance of this was evident in the tutorial classes, and is a reason I am thankful that I got to create an online resource with a range of mathematics concepts. Prior to commencing the unit I had little knowledge of most of the concepts and did not realise how broad mathematics actually is. However I feel a lot more confident now that I will be able to teach various activities to enhance learning opportunities for primary students. I enjoyed the unit a lot and appreciate the learning resources embedded that made my learning experience so fulfilling.
